I've gotten into the habit of buying floss for most charts I stitch. Consequently I have LOTS OF FLOSS. I try not to do it but sometimes I can't find the floss I look for and I justify it by thinking it's only 52 cents. My new resolution is to remember to look to see if I have the floss. I have 5 containers of floss.
Years ago I was in a birthday floss exchange and received a ton of floss. Do you think any of the colors I need are in there? Never. Well hardly ever. LOL I wonder if floss rots eventually.
