Should I or should't I

We had our Tuesday night zoom last night.  I miss going to the library and stitching but it has been nice that 7 of us get together and zoom.  I can't wait until we can meet again at Barnes and Noble.

Just have to add the name to the stocking and the wheels on the train and then I can take it down to the sampler.  I'm doing that on Friday afternoon.  I'm hoping the 2 things I ordered are in so I can pick them up.  Not that I need anything more to stitch.  I need to start the towels I want to give everyone for Christmas and finish the gingerbread ornament.

The should I or shouldn't I question is should I meet Andrea and Mary and take a walk with them today.  They are going to meet at 4 after Andrea is done working and they asked if I wanted to join up with them too.  Part of me does but part of me doesn't want to walk with a mask on, which we should because we'll be close together walking.  I need to start walking again but don't know if I can walk with a mask.

Fall is here

The air has turned and has a fall feel to it.  The girls were here on Friday and on Saturday they helped me bring it stuff for the winter.  I didn't cover the chairs on the deck, but I should have have because it rained again last night so now I have to wait until they dry off.

I'm almost done my latest stocking.  #31 Just need to fill in the house and put on his name.  Then I have 1 ornament left to finish for the grandkids.  And I want to make my kids an ornament, it's rolls to TP with the year on it.  It's cute.  If it stitches up fast, I'll make 1 for Doris/Butch and Pru/Beth.

Day 202

So, it's been 202 days since I decided to listen to my son and take convid-19 more seriously.  It was March 15.  March 14 was the last time I went to the gym, the last time I really went out WITHOUT masks, remember those days?  In March and April, EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED except essential stuff.  I only went out once a week to go to the grocery store.  I just want this over.  I don't go out as much as I did a year ago - saving money.  LOL

Went to Salty Yarns this past weekend for a fun girl weekend.  We celebrated Kay's 70th birthday.  We made her a quilt/wall hanging.  Tracy, Sherri, Becky, Diane, Evelyn, Helen, Judy and me (I ended up stitching 2).  Then I put it into a quilt.  It turned nice and she said she really liked it.  We have the next couple of years planned.  Judy turns 70 next year, 2021, Sherri, Tracy and Diane turn 55 in 2020 and then I'm 70 in 2023.  Hard to believe.  Sherri and Tracy want to go to Dyeing to Stitch in Virginia Beach.  We are going to look into renting a house.  Hopefully for a week.  That would be so much fun.

What I'm working on, a Christmas stocking for Daniel and finishing up the last of the ornaments for the grandkids.

As always, I'm going to try and do this more....everyone stay safe.

Staying in - day 11

I honestly can not believe it's been 11 months since I wrote anything.  Don't know why I don't check in more often.  I guess I think I don't have an exciting life.  Well, I definitely don't have an exciting life.  Just trying to get by like everyone else.  Right now in the mist of this virus, I just happy to be healthy.

I am worried about my daughter out in LA, but LA is better than NYC.  But if she had been living in New York, I could have made her come home and stay here.  But after 10 days we'd probably want to kill each other.  LOL  But she is staying safe and practicing 'social distancing'.  I'm workkiend about Jim and Mary too, worried about there jobs.  I hope when we get through this, they still have a job.  And the girls = being home all day is not easy.  I loved my children dearly, but I could never have home schooled.  I think children need that socialization.

I am doing alot of stitching.  All these years of buying charts, fabric, floss....been training for this for years.  I have enough stuff to stitch forever.  Day 11 of staying in.

Keep safe, practice social distancing and wash your hands.

Twice in 1 week

Twice in 1 week - it'll probably snow.  Like I said, I'm going to try and be better at this.

I stitched some this week.  Finished Heart in Hand 'April'.  Ended up doing it on aida, which doesn't bother me.  Stitching should be fun.  Going to work on HOD May.  Have to finish April so maybe I can have it up for a couple of days in April.

Got the copies made for my fun girl project.  My plan is to work on that this afternoon.  Need to touch up the white.  I brought paper to put on bottom and I'm going to paint the lip green.  My plan is to glue the paper to the bottom and paint the green.

Today is day 3 of me trying to get back on track.  I haven't eaten any candy which is major since I have candy in the house from Easter.  And I haven't eaten in between meals or after dinner.  I have to get off carbs again - why are they so good.

Time

Where does the time go?  I swear I'm more busy now that I don't work.  I have gotten into some bad habits, watching to much TV.  I do stitch when I'm watching - so it's not a total loss.

Been to Disney twice and did a 10K each time.  Did much better in April than February.  I think it was too warm in February - I wasn't use to it.  I need to get back on track and watch what I eat.  I need to lose 20 LBS.  I've been bad in my eating and I'm sure when I have my blood work this Friday and my appointment next Tuesday, it'll show.  But I need to lose weight, I don't want to have to buy new clothes or did out the old ones.  I have a goal, going to Chicago July 12, then I have Scotty's wedding in September.  Plus Sarah and I are going to Disney in November for the holiday party.  I've wanted to go.  It'll be weird gong and not having to get up at 3 AM for a race.  LOL

Been doing lots of stitching and now I have to do some finishing.  I like the stitching part best but I can't afford to have my stuff finished all the time.  I need to do it.  I should take 1 day a week and work on finishing.  I have like 4 Rubbermaid tubs full of stuff to finish.

Long time

Have not posted in a long time.  You'd think since I stopped working I'd have more time.  But it seems you're more busy.

Not much is new -so I'll do this as a new blog.

Trying to get back on track of healthy eating.  I'm up about 10 lbs and I really don't want to buy new clothes.  So I'm trying but it seems like I have no will power at all.  I'm still pretty good about not eating in between meals - just not doing so well at meal time.  I need to order eat more salads and not bread.  I love bread....LOL  and I love salty things - chips, pretzels, nuts...Maybe I should start posting everything I put in mouth....

Next, I'm training for a 10K which is on February 23.  Disney's Princess race.  Sarah and I are going.  It'll be nice to spend 5 days with my daughter.  Last weekend I did 5.5 miles in 1 hr 45 minutes.  I should be able to do the last 1/2 mile in 10 minutes so I might be able to beat my time from last year.

My goal for this year is to finish the stuff I finish stitching.  So far I've framed 2 pictures for Jojo and 1 for Charlotte.  Finished a Rovais keychain.  Finished stitching HOD year of celebrations January and February and HOD year in chalk February.  Will finish them today.  Also stitch something small for the girls for Valentines day.
