I'm going to Mystic CT this weekend with my friend Judy. We are going to a cross stitch class. It should be a lot of fun. It is bring run by Stitchers Hideaway and Amy Bruecken. It
is a cute design - beachy. It is a sampler that says:
How cute is this design.
And we are making this cute whale tale fob and crab pin keep. How cute.
I'm so looking forward to it.
OH NO - I'm old. Just applied for Medicare - parts A & B. Now I have to get my supplemental. I'm hoping to have it done by August 1 - that would be nice but it'll probably be September 1. Then I'll be off cobra and be saving $300 a month. I can't believe I'll be 65 in 53 days. When did this happen.
It's little things in life that make you happy. I have a new favorite pen. Seriously, I LOVE pens and have more than I'll ever use. But my new favorite is an oldie. The BIC pen. The clear barrel with the blue top. Well, on blue ink it's a blue top. And the little blue stopper at the end of the pen. I bought a pack. Of course, you can't just buy 1 or 3, you have to buy a pack of 10. I brought them at Walmart and I think they were only $1.97 LOL But I like the way it writes.
What didn't make me happy yesterday was my battery died. It's been taking longer to start and I actually thought when I started it yesterday that I should get a new battery. It would have never made it though the winter. But it died in Wegmans parking lot. A very nice young man came and took care of me. I had to call AAA and they were there within an hour. Dillion - that was his name - even reset my radio so it worked.
The people from Oliver are coming today to do the summer maintenance on my unit. I know one of these days I'm going to need a new unit.
I got up and went to the gym this morning. I'm trying to get moving earlier in the morning. I know I'm retired but I hate wasting time in the morning. Plus then I stay up late. I was up stitching to 2 last night. Can't do that very often. At least I can watch Murder she wrote - love that show.
Had to organize my floss this morning since one of the boxes tipped over last night and half spilled out. I got my 'summer' stuff organized and now just have to zig-zag my edges. I really would like to go outside and sit on the deck and stitch. I have to get my stuff together that I want to get framed. I can't find the piece I did for Sarah - New York avenue - but I know it's in the house SOMEWHERE. I hate the I can't always remember things. I also need to start the one I have for Jimmy/Mary. Just have to change the colors of the house. Bright green - I don't think so.
